Lucky Lotto
Yes, I do like buying the scratch lotto tickets every now and then and I catch grief from Brad everytime that I do. I don't buy them all the time, just once in a while and I usually break even with winning tickets and a few bucks here and there. Until today, the most I had won in one pop was $30...but, tonight I won $100!! Yes, on a $2 ticket! We stopped for me to buy a newspaper on the way to my dad's for dinner and I bought a $2 scratch ticket. When I got in the car I started scratching away...Brad thought I was full of myself when I started yelling when I saw the first $50 that I won and then when I scratched the second $50, I was SO excited! Needless to say, he promptly turned the car around and let me go in and collect on my winnings. I know, it's only $100 but it's a start! :-)

Been too busy lately
Well, so much has been going on since my last post. School is officially underway and the students are back and in the swing of things. So, needless to say with me being back to work I have been exhausted by the time I get home and trying to relish every minute with my little guys before they go to bed at night. Hayden and Bryce will be 6 months old this week and they have had a lot happening...they both have two teeth now (both on the bottom) and another trying to break through on the top, they have gone to their first middle school football game to see DuBose play, their first Summerville football game this past Friday night to see Summerville beat Goose Creek, their first time in the church nursery last weekend and are getting ready to travel to Charlotte and Athens (first time in the box at the UGA game) this coming weekend. They are definitely the most laid back little guys and such good traveling companions...we have truly been blessed. Here are a few pictures of them recently to show you just how big they have gotten.

Hayden (L) & Bryce (R)Today we took the boys to get pictures and they really turned out good. It is hard to believe the boys are already 4 1/2 months old...they are growing like weeds! They are both turning over by themselves, eating lots of baby food, making noises, babbling, pulling up to stand on their feet when you are holding them, they are almost able to sit up by themselves and Hayden is doing what we call snow plowing...trying to crawl, but keeps his head down and pushes is across the floor...too funny!

The Boys Have Some New Toys
Hayden and Bryce have some new toys and are having so much fun with them. Bryce loves the horsey jumperoo and Hayden really digs the exersaucer. They do trade off every now and then.

Our house on the lake for the weekendErin, Chad, Brad, Laurie and Trent
Our boys are becoming quite the little travellers. This past weekend we travelled to Robbinsville, NC for Brad's cousin, Carrie's wedding. Carrie and Shane got married at the beautiful Blue Boar Inn on Lake Shanteetlah. The wedding was very nice, food was delicious and seeing his cousins, aunts and uncles was nice. Now the boys are having to readjust to being on a schedule and at home again. No more travelling for a while for us, we have been going nonstop for a month and now we need to slow down and get back to work and our routine.

4 month old check up
The boys went for their four month old check up today and they are growing like weeds. Hayden was 14 bs. 14 oz., 25 inches long, and his head was 41 1/2 cm. Bryce was 13 lbs. 4 oz., 24 1/2 inches long and his head was 41 1/2 cm. They got another oral vaccine and two booster shots and once again, they slept all day after their doctor's visit. The doctor said they are healthy little guys and are progressing a lot faster on some the developmental milestones than others their age (I knew they were advanced ;-) ). Next doctors visit is when they are six months old.
Other news this week...the boys started daycare on Monday. They had a great first day, in fact I don't think they even missed us. :-( They were so excited to be put in the exersaucers and jumperoos there that I had to go out and buy them an exersaucer and now I am looking for either another exersaucer or a jumperoo. The ladies in the infant room said they have never seen such smiling and happy babies as the boys are. Cullen starts next month with them, so that will be fun that they will be with their cousin every day.
Now, we are back on the road again this weekend for Brad's cousin, Carrie's wedding. Stay tuned for pictures of the boys in their little outfits they have to wear to this wedding...too cute!

So, you don't like turkey?
For dinner tonight the boys had sweet potatoes and turkey with turkey broth baby food. Needless to say they enjoyed dinner, but Bryce was not too happy with the turkey...gee, what are we going to do for Thanksgiving? LOL! He is so dramatic when he doesn't like something. I am so glad I took their clothes off to feed them because we had a heck of a mess tonight.
First Boat Ride
Hayden and Bryce finally had their first boat ride today! With my cousin, Megan in tow for the boat ride Brad and I took the boys out on the Ashley River for a few hours (thanks Megan...next time I promise we won't have so much drama before we hit the water!). The boys loved the boat ride, they were looking all around and taking it all in. I guess they were exhausted because on the ride back to the boat landing, they slept really hard. Tomorrow we're going back out again to celebrate their four month birthday!
summer fun
It's been a while since my last post, but we have been going non stop. After travelling to Spartanburg for Kevin and Catherine's wedding, we went to the Edisto River to visit my cousins, aunts and uncle, then for the 4th of July after spending the day at the river went to our good friends, Jason and Adele's for a cookout and fireworks, and finally spent the last week in Myrtle Beach with my dad and step mom for vacation. While on vacation in Myrtle Beach the boys took their first dip in the Atlantic Ocean, went to the Dixie Stampede, went to many different restuarants, went in the kiddie pool, went shopping at the outlet mall and got to visit with their great grandmama (Brad's grandma). Bryce has been perfecting his barrel roll and Hayden is learning how to roll a little more himself, still not all the way over everytime like Bryce but he's almost got it everytime.
The boys have been such good little guys and they love travelling and visiting especially if their travels involve them being in the water. Now we have another trip to NC planned for next weekend for Brad's cousin, Carrie's wedding. Summer is so short, but we sure do love to cram a lot in such a small amount of time. :-)
