Cousin Megan loves the boys!

My cousin, Megan cracks me up sometimes...she has always been like a little sister to me and I have always loved giving her a hard time. She loves coming to visit Hayden and Bryce and she made it a point to tell me that she has never been on my blog before...haha! So...here's Megan with the boys today when she came to visit. :-)

Amelia checking on Henry and Bryce

Today, my friend, Melissa came over for lunch with her twin boys, Henry and Hudson who are one day older than Hayden and Bryce and with my Goddaughter, Amelia. It was so nice to talk about what our boys are doing and to see Ameila with the boys. Poor Amelia, I think she now thinks that everyone has boys in twos! She was so sweet with them...Bryce and Henry were on the floor and she would pat them on the stomach and say "Aww...how sweet!" then give them a kiss, what a cutie she was with them. Bryce and Henry were the active ones today while Hayden and Hudson slept the entire time. Can you imagine when they all start walking and crawling what a play date will be like...oh my! :-)

First Sickness

Well, I thought I was just a crazy first time mom over reacting but I wasn't crazy after all. I took the boys to the doctor for stuffy noses and a rash on their back and chest. The boys both have a viral infection and cradle cap that is spreading to their chest as a rash. So...we have to flush out their noses with saline solution and wash their heads with T-Sal shampoo and put it on their chest for the rash. Poor babies! So, hopefully they will get to feeling better again.

Also, the boys were weighed at the doctor...Bryce weighed 9 lbs 3oz and Hayden 10 lbs 13oz! The boys are growing like weeds!

Boomer Sooner!

Hayden and Bryce with their proud Papa wearing their Oklahoma Sooner attire. Brad's dad played football for OU and bought the boys these outfits for Christmas. They have finally grown into them and just in time for Papa's visit to Summerville...what a great surprise it was for him! :-)

Christie, Christie, What Do You See?

I see Bambi on the porch staring at me!
Yes, yesterday morning I opened my front door to admire the paint job on the front door and what was standing there staring at me? Bambi! Yes, I couldn't believe it either. I have had several reports that Bambi is making her way around the neighborhood and even chased a little boy and his dog yesterday afternoon. I think Bambi might be a little schitzo!

Clem and George

No, we didn't change the boys names, these are nicknames that were given to them before birth by the two male administrators that I work with. I was so worried I would mix them up since they are identical so they suggested the nicnames "Clem" and "George". So, here is "Clem" aka Hayden and "George" aka Bryce sporting their onesies from Mr.Kenny. :-)

Spring cleaning, stir crazy...hmmm...what do we call it

Ok, I have to admit I have been enjoying being home with the boys but I don't think I could do it all the time. If I did do it all the time I would have to volunteer a couple of days a week or join some sort of group or something, adult interaction is a must. I know my aunt Donna has got to get tired of talking to me, but most of my friends work and are not able to talk on the phone all day with me when I want to talk.

So, what have I done so far...I have now redecorated the den and dinning area of our house (new couch, recliner, pillows, table cloth, placemats, napkins, centerpiece, etc) and am now moving on to painting. Tonight I painted doors and door frames in the house and tomorrow I will be painting the front door and shutters. I would have started on the shutters today, but the ladder we had was not long enough so I am waiting for Kevin to help me out and bring a much taller ladder for me. I think I might go by a gallon of white so I can paint the trim throughout the house. The way I figured it is that a gallon of paint is probably a lot cheaper than me going shopping (yes Brad, you're welcome).

5 weeks old

So much has happened in five weeks! Hayden and Bryce are five weeks old today and they are growing like weeds! It is hard to believe that my boys have already outgrown newborn diapers and are now wearing size ones, they have outgrown a lot of their outfits (the ones they have outgrown are to short for them...I have some long boys), they are wearing clothes between 0-3 month sizes and 3 month sizes and they are eating us out of house and home (4 ounces or more in each sitting). They are starting to develop more of their personalities and recognize voices and faces more each day. We have been blessed with such good little boys that are so easy going and such cuties!

The boys still love snuggling with each other in their pack-n-play during the day.

What a Lifesaver

I have told several people about these really cool bottles that one of my teachers gave me that help when I need a free hand. They are called Podee bottles and are such a lifesaver some days!

A BIG Weekend For Our Boys

What an exciting weekend Hayden and Bryce had...
they made their first road trip to Athens, GA to visit Brad's family.

The boys got to meet their cousins.
Eliza holding Bryce, Sailor and Abigail holding Hayden

They met their Papa for the first time and caught some z's with him.
I don't know who enjoyed it more, them or Papa.

They visited the University of Georgia for their first Georgia football game. We went to see the G-Day game. With 30-40 thousand people there and lots of noise, they were great and can't wait to go to another football game.
Hayden taking a nap during the G-Day game.
Only a baby can sleep through all of the noise and excitement.
At the end of the day Saturday they were exhausted
from visiting with family and going to UGA.
Bryce (left) and Hayden (right) needed a good nap to make it through the rest of their visit.

They enjoyed their first Easter.
Hayden (L) and Bryce (R)
They even got two big bunnies for Easter.

By the end of the visit, the girls were pros at feeding Hayden and Bryce.

We had a wonderful visit to Athens, the boys were very good travelers and

I think after the trip we were more exhausted than they were when we returned home.

Meeting Cousins

This past weekend, my cousins, Travis and Jonathan came into town with their families to meet Hayden and Bryce. Travis and Jonathan are like brothers to me more so than cousins so I was very excited that they would get to meet my boys. When their children were born it was like I had neices and a nephew that were born. (Their kids do call me aunt Christie sometimes.)
Hannah has been so excited ever since I wa pregnant that I had "two babies" in my tummy. She even learned how to dial the phone on her own and would call from Savannah to say hello and make sure the babies had not arrived without anyone telling her. Adrian loved seeing the pictures of the boys on the computer so much that she was kissing the screen and Logan...he just didn't understand why there were only two babies and not three so they could all have one to hold and play with. Well, the kids loved meeting Hayden and Bryce and Hayden and Bryce loved all the attention they got and the tons of hugs and kisses the kids gave them. I can't wait for them to get bigger so they can all play together! I guess our next time we see them we might have to venture down to Savannah for a weekend trip.

Hannah was very curious about the boys and wanted to help change them and feed them
