Tonight we hung some pictures and the boys' names in their nursery (Brad hung them and I supervised). Now we are just about finished...just have to finish cleaning out the closet and we will be done. :-)

My brother's getting married!

What a wonderful holiday surprise...last Friday, 12/19/08 Kevin asked Catherine to marry him. So...another wedding in the making! We are so happy to have Catherine joining our family, she's definitely a catch and makes Kevin happier than he has ever been. One thing everyone in our family always says is Kevin never smiled with his ex-wife, but Catherine has him smiling...so that's a big bonus! We wish them all the happiness in the world and can't wait until the wedding and then when they start having babies to join our boys and Cullen. :-)
Christmas 2008
We had a wonderful Christmas...went to Athens for a whirlwind trip and returned home Christmas afternoon to celebrate with my family. Brad and I had decided since we went and bought a new camcorder that we would not buy each other a lot gifts this year, but he surprised me with a new digital camera. My husband is such a sweetie! Here are a few pictures from Christmas with the new camera. Now, we're ready for the babies to arrive and we can take lots of pictures and videos of them.

Christmas DuBose Style
This proves that we go above and beyond for our students. We had a fundraiser where the students got to put money in jars for teachers to nominate who they wanted to see Sumo wrestle the day that we got out for Christmas break. We had a blast! Santa was even the referee! (no, I did not get to wrestle this year...but wait until next year I may be the celebrity match up!)

Burn Baby Burn...
Well...heart burn that is! I wonder if the old wives tale is true that women that have heartburn when pregnant have babies that have a head full of hair? Hmmm...if so, Hayden and Bryce will need a haircut when they arrive. :-)

Thanksgiving weekend comes to an end
Well, no pictures to post with this blog but a little bit of catching up to do...The week was a short work week which was wonderful!
Thanksgiving was shared with family at my daddy and S'mama's house. Cullen came to his first Thanksgiving dinner...he was wide awake and you can tell he was already eyeing the turkey in hopes that next year he gets to eat some.
Hayden and Bryce have been more active than ever, I think instead of tossing and turning in the womb they are fighting...their kicks and hits are definitely more pronounced than before. Brad said they use to feel like little flutters and now even he is shocked at how much they are moving. I just wish they would decide to go to sleep when I do...no such luck though...they are waking me up quite a bit lately.
Friday was spent hanging out with Brad and going to our friend, Lee's surprise birthday party complete with an Elvis impersonator.
Saturday...I was so ready to go to the Clemson/Carolina party at Robin& Paskel's, but woke up with a stomach bug. yuck! The only real bright side to the day was Clemson putting a whooping on Carolina! GO TIGERS!! Georgia however was not able to pull it off, so Brad was not to happy. Brad was a sweetie playing nurse to me and even had to make a late night run to go find some Rolaids for the major heartburn that I was experiencing.
Sunday...stil not feeling the best, but a little bit better. Brad wanted to get out and get some dinner so we ventured out to Italian Bistro where I couldn't even eat half of my dinner. Gee...I hope this bug goes away soon. Let's hope I feel better tomorrow for work.
Next doctor's appointment: Dec. 15th. I can't wait to see how much bigger the boys are getting! When I get time I'll scan the last ultrasound pictures...they are SO much bigger now! One baby weighs 1lb 1oz. and the other 15oz at the last doctor's appoitment.

I'm an aunt!
Carey and Lauren's baby arrived a few weeks early...he was due Nov. 22nd but made his debute today! Cullen Patrick Bailey arrived at 10:07am 5lbs. 8oz. 19.5 inches long. What a sweet baby he is. Mommy and Cullen are doing well and believe it or not...Carey didn't pass out and he cut the cord. ( Needless to say, all in the family were very surprised that Carey didn't get a little weak in the knees. ;-) ) Everyone is so excited that Cullen is here...my dad is strutting around town like a prize peacock with tons of pictures at hand. (what an excited grandaddy he is) I can't wait to spoil him and then for Hayden and Bryce to arrive and play with their cousin! How much fun is it going to be with three little boys in the family only months apart in age!!

VOTE!
Tomorrow is election day and there are so many decisions to be made. Our friend, Michael Hess is running for Dorchester District Two School Board...keep your fingers crossed for him, he will do a GREAT job! Also, let's hope McCain wins...who know what the country will be like if Obama wins.
Look at how sweet my husband is...

I went to Atlanta the weekend before last for a conference and look what I came home to...the cribs were put together (Brad and my dad that), the glider and chest of drawers are all ready. Then...Brad was so excited that he went out and bought the other bedding set and put everything in the cribs to get the full effect. How sweet is he! He had painted the walls the week before and the nursery is starting to take shape. Just a few final touches and it will all be complete.

Oh what a mess!
Brad has gotten the fever to start cleaning out the room that will be the nursery and oh what a mess we have here! We have things everywhere, dust flying (hence my allergies kicking), things to go to Goodwill/Habitat, and tons of trash. We did go pick out a color that we liked and put a little on the wall to see what it would look like. If it's the color we like then we are in business and the room can really start to take shape. Brad hates it when I am here and he is "trying" to clean because he and I have different views of cleanliness and tidiness...but at least he's trying. He is very excited and wants to put the cribs together. So...stay tuned for pictures of the nursery and it's progress.
Here is a picture of what the bedding looks like that we have picked out...definitely looks like little boys. :-)
