Wow, what a morning!

Well, this morning on the way to school I was sitting in traffic on Old Orangeburg Road when a lady lost control of her car and hit the school bus right behind me. I was on the phone with my cousin and thought the woman was going to hit me, but missed me by about five feet and hit the bus. I was the first person there, the lady driving was pretty banged up, but luckily the four year old and 20 month old that she was the nanny for that were in her back seat were. The bus was a bus load of DMS students and 6 were transported to SMC to be checked out along with the bus driver, car driver and two toddlers. Most of the kids were just pretty shook up and worried about the lady, their driver and the two little boys. I was so proud of how well the kids were and how great all of the staff at DMS worked together to call all of the parents of the students that were on the bus. After spending most of my day between SMC, taking phone calls, making phone calls and doing paperwork I am mentally exhausted and just SO glad that everyone was ok. Here's hoping for a less eventful Friday.

hanging out with friends and family

This is what the boys love to do when they are at Grandpa and Nana's house...they run from the den to the kitchen, dinning room and back to the den, all jumping when they come to the den.

Grammy

A week ago our family lost a truly wonderful woman. Our Grammy, Marjorie Cobun passed away at 100 years and 4 months old. She lived a wonderful and full life. If I can only live a portion of the life that she lived, I will be blessed. Her funeral was a celebration of her life with music she loved and Jennifer and Alex delivering wonderful eulogies. Even though we knew the end was near, it is never easy to lose a loved one. I have been blessed to have Grammy in my life and will miss her every day.

we're back!

After a very busy summer and an even busier start to the school year, I finally have a minute to update our blog. Let's see...this summer we went to Myrtle Beach for a day, went to Myrtle Beach Aquarium, Made a new friend at Build A Bear, went to the Charleston Aquarium, hung out on the boat, went to the river, went to the pool a few times, put our house up for sale and then went back to school. Whew! You would think we're busy or something. :-)

Now with us being back in school, the boys have transitioned to the toddler room and love it. They love it so much that they even scream because they don't want to go home in the afternoons. We have gone to a few Summerville football games, quite a few DuBose football games, a few volleyball games and are now getting ready for Halloween. We got our Halloween costumes today and the boys are going to be Batman and Superman. Believe it or not, but they LOVE their costumes and had a great time flying around the house when grandpa came to visit and play with them today.

Well, let's hope my next post won't take as long to put up as this one did. We're having lots of fun chasing the boys around and I can't even remember what my life was like before we had them. :-)

Hayden and Bryce love the boat so much you have to make sure you hold on tight to them.
