38 weeks

Well, had my weekly doctor's appointment today. No change in dialation, etc. Bloodpressure was back at 110/70 (guess not going to work makes it stay very low) So...it seems that we will definitley be waiting until Thursday to meet Hayden and Bryce. If this is any indication of their personalities, they will be stubborn since they don't want to buge right now.

So...three days and counting! I am now officially on maternity leave and trying to rest a little and enjoy some downtime. Today I went and had a pedicure after my doctor's appointment and tonight I am having a Girls Night Out dinner. Tomorrow and Wednesday...don't have any plans other than to rest. Hard to believe that in less than 3 days I will be a mommy! I am SO excited to meet my little guys!!

37 weeks

Doctors visit went well today. Still having contractions, but not enough that the boys will be coming soon. If the contractions get stronger and closer then they may be coming soon. Otherwise...the c-section is scheduled for next Thursday and that is when they will make their debute. My last day of work will be Friday, so I am hoping to be able to tough it out until then. So...the waiting game continues. I am so anxious to meet Hayden and Bryce and hug and kiss them! :-)

36 weeks

Well, the week started off eventful...woke up having contractions that began around 4am (I didn't wake up Brad though). Went to the doctor and he put me on the fetal monitor to see how close the contractions were and to make sure they were really contractions that I was feeling. Within 20 minutes 6 major contractionshad occurred. So...off to the hospital we went. They connected me to the monitors again and said they were going to give me shots to try to stop the contractions. They said they have to make an attempt to stop them. So...one shot...wait 20 minutes...no change...second shot...wait 20 minutes...no change...and for the final shot....wait, wait, wait, wait....finally the contractions had pretty much stopped. Two questions I had...how long will the shots stop the contractions? What happens if the contractions start again? The contraction may stop for hours up to weeks...if they start again, they won't be stopping them, instead Hayden and Bryce will be coming!

So...much to our disappointment, we got sent home around 4:30pm. I was told to not work, but I am not on bed rest...so since it is not bed rest I went to work today (I know, hard headed). The way I figured is, if I have to "take it easy" I can do that in my office and get paid to do it as opposed to sit here at the house. I would much rather use all 12 weeks with the babies than two of the twelve sitting around here.

Now...we are waiting anxiously for Hayden and Bryce to arrive. The c-section is still scheduled for the 12th, but who knows...they might be arriving sooner! :-)

The top is Hayden and Bryce's heart beats,
the bottom are the contractions...there's one of the off the chart ones.

Late Christmas Present Arrives

For Christmas, Brad's parents bought everyone a new tv but since we already had a big tv we got a new refrigerator instead. The new fridge arrived today. It has SO much room! Now we are really ready for Hayden and Bryce since we have lots more fridge space. Thank you Robert and Judy!!

35 week doctor visit

Went to the doctor today...well, Hayden is still breech and Bryce is oblique. Dr. Givens said there's no way they'll be turning, so he is scheduling a c-section. They will call me in the next day to tell me when that will be (looking at the week of March 11th). Now, that doesn't mean I won't go into labor before that but it confirms that they will come via c-section. Hayden was 5 lbs 3 oz. today and Bryce was 4lb. 12 oz. So...they are still growing pretty strong and everything checked out well with them and me. Still not too comfy at night, but I know it will be worth it in the end. :-) 36 week check up next Monday.

C-Section is now scheduled for March 12th.

Early Valentine's Day Dinner

It's not Valentine's Day quite yet, but my very sweet hubby took me to dinner for Valentine's a day early. He tried to get reservations for tomorrow night, but they were booked until 9:30pm and he knew I could not go that late without eating. So, we had our early Valentine's dinner tonight at Oscars.

Thank you Brad for a wonderful dinner...I love you!
And yes...Buck's would have been just as good as long as it was with you. ;-)

34 week checkup

Doctors visit today went well again. Heartbeats are strong, I lost four pounds...I think it was just fluid. The "support" stockings are helping with the swelling in my legs. (I told Dr. Givens today they were sort of like sausage casing...he just laughed.) I go back on Monday for an ultrasound to see what position the boys are in and then if they are not heads down, determine a date for a c-section. (I can tell you they are not heads down now just by the way they are kicking me.) I just think every day I have been very lucky with this pregnancy and at this point in time I am SO ready for them to arrive!

Thank you Zach!!

My best friend, Kim's little boy, Zach is very excited for the arrival of his new "cousins". He has been surfing the Babies 'R' Us website and asking a million questions about babies. Below are a few of his contributions to Hayden and Bryce...

These pictures were in Zach's room when he was little

Mr. Teddy's for both of the boys. Zach has had his Mr. Teddy since he was born and I must say his is not in nearly this pristene of condition. Mr. Teddy has definitely been loved for 9 years.

Doctor's Visit Today

I had another doctor's visit today...I am officially going to visit Dr. Givens every week now. Well, everything seems to be going well. He said the heartbeats sounded great one in the 140s and the other in the 150s, my blood pressure was good (113/80) and the swelling is normal that I am having. Despite me being absolutely miserable right now with the swelling and the babies putting pressure on my sciatic nerve, my pregnancy has gone very well. I go back again next Tuesday and then the 16th he will do another ultrasound to see what position the babies are in and determine if I need a C-section and when I will deliver.

Here are a few shots of my "cankles" and feet...yes, they are as big as the pictures are making them look. :-( The only shoes I can wear these days are Crocs and even they are tight.

I am looking forward to the boys arrival because I know all of the swelling will be worth it in the end. :-)
